The interview that I read is called Jim Cole, "Packing House Worker". Jim explains how he's always wanted to be a meat cutter. He says that long ago he wanted to join the AFL union (Amalgamated Butchers and Meat Cutters). He was rejected but the reasons were obvious. It was because of his skin color. He was colored. Jim said "That's wrong. You know that's wrong." He was not happy.
I think that what the people in the AFL untion did was wrong. I don't see how skin color changes things because it's only color.
